Ingenio Carmelita’s Turbinado Sugar preserves the natural honeys from sugar cane processing, is characterized by its uniform, large crystals, brown color, special flavor and higher humidity than white sugar. In addition, it is obtained through appropriate industrial procedures and is free of Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO).
Grain size ranges from 0.9 mm to 1.3 mm, while color ranges from 1500UI to 5000UI (ICUMSA*).
Estimated shelf life: 24 months under proper storage conditions.
ICUMSA*: (International Commission for Uniform Methods for Sugar Analysis), this organization is in charge of measuring the purity of sugar based on its color.
