Conditioning the land for planting sugarcane. Includes the following activities.
- Rakes: They remove the surface layer of the soil, eliminating vegetation and residues that are not suitable for cultivation.
- Polishing rakes: Segment large pieces of soil (clods) into smaller ones and facilitate leveling or furrowing.
- Plow-brush: Breaks the soil at depths of 40 cm. to oxygenate it.
- Subsoil: Like the chisel plow, it breaks the soil, but at a depth greater than 60 cm.
- Polished with Rastra: It crumbles the clods to facilitate the furrowing.
